FEB 18, 2012

What a great day to be on the water. The rain held off, very little wind and the fish were active today.
We had some pretty good weigh-ins for Cedar. First and fifth place were separated by only 9/10 of a pound.  I just wanted to thank those that came out and made this tournament fun and safe. You can go to our web site and look at the points race so far this year. Again it is a close race and we have Wheeler coming up and then Little Bear or Horseshoe and then the classic at Pickwick.

In one of the more competitive events of the year, first place went to Doug Jenkins and Joe Duncan with a 7 fish stringer of 7.40 lbs. Congratulations on their first win of the year and they also took big fish with a 1.54 lb white crappie. Second place went to Scott and Roger Echols. They long line trolled and caught a 7 fish stringer weighing in at 7.34 lbs.  Third place went to Rex Davis and Ray Tuggle. They slow trolled minnows and jigs all day and came in with a 7 fish stringer of 7.15 lbs.

Rounding out the rest of the field:

Barkley/Dodd 6.72
Mccarley/Mccarley 6.51
Keil 5.25
Lampert 5.06
Miller/Mitchell 4.74

Thanks again to all of our sponsors and good luck the members who will be fishing Crappie USA and Crappie Masters events in the next couple months.
