Surface temp 69

What a day to be on the water. It started out a little cool and foggy but the sun broke out .  We could have not had a better day and to top it off a lot of crappie was caught.

Shoals area crappie hosted it 3rd tournament of the year on Guntersville lake today and several teams came out to roll the dice. What was good to see is all the teams bring fish to the scales and everybody had a good time.
1st place went to David and jiJmy McCarley with a seven fish limit that weighed in at 9.60. They also took big fish today with a 1.94.  Not real sure where these guys fished but somebody did tell me they was upriver and long lining jigs. Good job guys.

2nd went to Scott, Gracie & Roger Echols with a 7 fish limit of 8.67and from what I understand Gracie put every fish in the boat. She told me she netted everyone of them fish. They also was longline trolling with BnM poles and jigs. Good job guys and gals.

3rd went to team Harris and Harris with a 7 fish limit of 8.58. They also was longline trolling lake fork jigs in 10 to 15 foot of water upriver. Good job.

A big thanks to all our sponsors BnM, Vicious Line, Lake Fork Tackle, Roadrunner and Tenn. Valley Marine. The winner of our drawing for $25 donated by Tenn. Valley Marine was Bill Thomas .

Thanks guys for another great time on the water. Our next club event will be May 24 on whichever B.C.D.A. Lake you pick.  Weigh in will be at CJ's
