WHEELER LAKE

WATER TEMP 62-68

WATER LEVEL 552.8

We couldn't have ordered a nicer day than what we got. Air temps got up over 80 and the fishing was really good.  Everyone weighed their limit of fish with most teams fishing creek mouths and either long lining or slow trolling jig/minnow combos.

Darrel Keil weighed in 10.32 pounds and edged out Scott and Crystal Echols by 12/100 of a pound and also took big fish with a healthy  2.41 Wheeler slab.  Both teams did most of their damage later in the morning with the majority of large bites coming after lunch. Steve and Roger Echols rounded out the money with a good stringer at 8.72 lbs.

The last two tournaments should be interesting as the fish seem to be ahead of schedule due to warm water temps and an early spring. The points race is up for grabs as the Mccarley's still hold the lead, but 4 other teams are in close striking distance.

Thanks again to our sponsors at B'nm, Lake Fork, Vicious, Charlie Brewer, Townsend's and HiTek.  Everybody be safe and good luck at Little Bear or Cedar.
