Piro Scholar Program
Piro Scholar Program Mission & Vision
Aligned with the mission of the De La Salle Christian Brothers and the Daughters of Charity, the Piro Scholar Program promotes the holistic education of students who come from historically under-represented backgrounds and first-generation, college bound families. In addition to SHC’s robust learning environment, the year-round Piro program provides tuition and academic, material and emotional support. By the end of their high school experience, Piro Scholars are prepared to access higher education, break cycles of poverty, and serve as leaders across all fields and industries. The Piro Program strives to promote values of leadership, resourcefulness, and advocacy as keys to unlock the future students seek to create for themselves and for our world.
Piro Scholars are enrolled and selected from one of our educational partners including De Marillac Academy and the Bay Scholars Program.
